As the world marks 77 years since the atomic bombings of Japan in 1945, the danger of nuclear war and World War Three is again a reality. Non-nuclear wars lead to nuclear war. The endless series of U.S. wars and interventions could escalate and set off the spark that leads to nuclear war. Join the August 6th protest with signs and banners to send an anti-war message.
On the 77th Anniversary of the only use of nuclear weapons in war,
we remember that the U.S. military detonated two atomic bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945, killing between 129,000 and 226,000 people.
