Monday, February 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm, 4200 Cedar Ave S, Mpls, MN

WAMM Second Movie Monday Presents…
Stamped From the Beginning: A documentary film directed and produced by Roger Ross Williams. It is based on the non-fiction book, Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America by Ibram X. Kendi.
The film explores racist tropes and imagery that were de-veloped and enshrined in American culture throughout his-tory. Williams stated “This is about power and the few clinging to power and using it at the expense of Black Americans. This isn’t a film for Black Americans. This is a film for the whole world. Hopefully it brings people to-gether and leads people on a path of antiracism and heal-ing”
