Women Against Military Madness is now in its 43rd year and would love to have you join WAMM’s 18th annual Walk Against Weapons of War on Saturday, June 7, 2025. We will gather at Langford Park in St. Paul at 10:30 AM (near Como Ave and Energy Park Drive). We will walk about one mile to ForwardEdge ASIC (a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin) for a rally before returning to the park.
It is shocking and unconscionable: the billions of dollars that the United States is spending on war and weapons of war for death and destruction instead of people’s needs at home. The world’s largest weapons manufacturer, Lockheed Martin, supplies Israel with F-16 and F-35 fighter jets, which Israel has been using extensively to bomb Gaza. Israel also uses the company’s C-130 Hercules transport planes to support the ground invasion of Gaza.
Just for your information, June 7th is also St. Anthony Park’s art festival along Como Avenue. Como Avenue is open to traffic. You may want to check out the art and music after WAMM’s walk.
