SUMMARY:Vigil to End War
DESCRIPTION:The Vigil to End War is sponsored by the WAMM End War Committee (EWC). \nThe EWC is dedicated to ending U.S. involvement in war\, the threats of war\, and the production\, sale and use of the weapons of war. \nEvery Wednesday at the the Lake Street/Marshall Avenue Bridge \n4:00 pm – 5:00 pm  \nSigns provided or bring your own. Check the WAMM calendar and Facebook events pages for special themes for the day! \nSponsored by the End War Committee \nIn 1999\, WAMM’s End War Committee partnered with other local activist groups to initiate a weekly vigil on the Lake Street and Marshal Avenue bridge in St.Paul. Originally in response to the U.S. and NATO bombings in Yugoslavia\, the vigil has continued weekly with different U.S. sanctions\, interventions\, and wars to protest. Every Wednesday for over 20 years—rain\, shine or below zero temps—activists in the Twin Cities have gathered to stand in solidarity with all those affected by U.S. militarism and to call for peace.

SUMMARY:Kid-Led Protest to Divest!
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 8\, 2025\, 10:30 AM\, MN Governor’s Residence\, 1006 Summit Ave\, St Paul\, MN \nCalling all kids and former kids! Our call for Minnesota to divest from genocide continues! \nJoin us for our monthly kid-friendly\, kid-led “Protest to Divest!” on Saturday\, November 8th at 10:30 AM outside the Minnesota Governor’s Residence. \nKids will learn how to participate in a protest using their own unique voice through chanting\, dancing\, drumming\, sign-making and more. We will have a bullhorn for kids to take turns leading and/or practicing calls and chants! \nWe’ll talk about olive harvest season\, read the book “Hilwa’s Gifts” and help kids and families make the connection between the attacks on Palestinians and their beloved olive trees during the harvest and the ongoing genocide and demand for divestment. \nSQUEAKY CLEAN CHANTS! SQUEAKY CLEAN MOUTHS!\nWe invite the community to help us collect items for our toothbrush and toothpaste drive supporting the vital mutual aid work our friends at Community Aid Network MN continue to do for our community. Bring new\, unopened toothbrushes (individually packaged\, or in small packaged quantities) and toothpaste! Don’t forget the kids! NO SPICY toothpaste for little mouths! Reach out to your neighbors and friends to expand your collection efforts. Bring the fruits of your labor to the protest and we’ll take it from there! \nAbout the discussion(s):\nWe believe that it’s never too early to talk to kids about oppression or have difficult conversations about uncomfortable but necessary topics. Our goal is to educate families using age-appropriate language and provide the community with a space to come together to learn\, grow and advocate for the collective liberation of everyone. \nAbout the location:\nThis action will be held on the public sidewalk in front of the publicly-owned Governor’s residence. It is accessible by bus via Route 63 (stop on Grand Ave/Chatsworth) and a .2 mile walk (approximately 4 minutes on foot). There are no public restrooms available. Organized by FAMM (a committee of WAMM)

SUMMARY:Preparing for the Federal Domestic Terrorism Apparatus
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, November 10\, 2025 ; 7:00 p.m. CST\, Online\, register HERE \nAs the administration moves to expand its domestic terrorism framework\, new policies and rhetoric are raising alarm among social justice advocates. A recently issued presidential directive\, National Security Presidential Memorandum (NSPM-7)\, reportedly identifies a range of progressive\, “anti-American\,” and “anti-Christian” beliefs as potential indicators of “terrorism.” Paired with inflammatory claims about so-called “transgender extremism” and Donald Trump’s executive order targeting “Antifa\,” these developments signal a disturbing effort to criminalize dissent and stigmatize marginalized communities. \n  \nThe National Lawyers Guild Review (NLGR) will bring together activists\, legal experts\, and organizers to unpack what these shifts mean in practice. This urgent conversation comes amid growing political attacks\, including Representative Lance Gooden’s (R–TX) formal request that the Department of Justice investigate the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) over its alleged association with “Antifa” or “antifascism.” Together\, we’ll explore: What’s new and concerning about the federal domestic terrorism apparatus How these policies may target activists\, trans people\, and other vulnerable communities Practical steps for staying informed\, secure\, and organized. \nRegister At: https://www.nlg.org/civicrm/event/register/?reset=1&id=90&fbclid=IwY2xjawN199hleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFXVTcyeHFLbUJ3ZmViTHRsAR7avUPlIlAbdpAFctE-xpEQdBy2U8VSogw_sn0xrecbFbYZgkvtlrGeXn1fug_aem_b0WUYZDhov9Q63UMUZmqHA \nOrganized by National Lawyers Guild

SUMMARY:U.S. Hands Off Venezuela! Rally + Protest
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, November 18\, 2025\, 4:30 PM chants start\, 5 PM Program\, 701 4th Ave S\, Minneapolis (Senator Klobuchar’s Office) \n\nJoin the Minnesota Peace Action Coalition on Tuesday\, November 18th at 4:30 p.m. outside Senator Klobuchar’s office to recognize the national week of protest against war on Venezuela! \nAs the U.S. has killed 65 Venezuelan fisherpeople on boats and is now rushing military equipment to the coast of Venezuela\, we stand opposed to any U.S. military intervention in Venezuela just as we resist the military on our streets at home. Trump said on Oct 23 that there “will be land action in Venezuela soon.” And the U.S. is now sending the world’s largest aircraft carrier to the Caribbean\, signaling intent to start a new war. We know the U.S. seeks to control the resources as well as the government of Venezuela\, and we must stand against this domination! \n 701 4th Ave. S\, Minneapolis. SUMMARY:Give to the Max Day 2025
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 20\, 2025\, All day\, Online at givemn.org \nGive to the Max started in 2009 as a one-time campaign to mark the launch of GiveMN.org\, Minnesota’s digital home for generosity. The results of that day—$14 million raised in just 24 hours—blew everyone’s expectations out of the water\, and a new Minnesota tradition was born. In fact\, Give to the Max was one of the nation’s first online giving days and now serves as a national model for giving days across the country. In the years since\, nearly one million donors have given more than $355 million to 14\,000 nonprofits and schools as part of Minnesota’s giving holiday. \nMark your calendars—Give to the Max Day returns for a 17th year on Thursday\, November 20\, 2025\, with Early Giving beginning on November 1. Visit GiveMN.org during that time to follow along with totals\, see prize winners\, and have your generosity counted as part of this year’s campaign. \nVisit WAMM’s page to donate and learn more about our mission at https://www.givemn.org/organization/Wamm
