SUMMARY:An Evening of Solidarity
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 16\, 2025\, 6 – 8 PM\, Masonic Children’s Hospital\, 2450 Riverside Ave\, Minneapolis \n  \nJoin @hcw4ptwincities in community for an evening of solidarity in liberatory healing. As US medical institutions and hospitals across Minnesota systematically remove Palestinian and BIPOC voices from clinical care spaces\, we resist this erasure by insisting on amplifying and centering the voices and narratives of our beloved communities. \nCensorship is part of genocide. As healthcare workers\, poets\, and musicians – we are all healers. We understand that liberation from oppression and the actualization of political self-determination are cornerstones of health. \nOn August 16th\, join us for an evening of liberatory poetry\, music\, and learning as we reclaim our narratives and honor our children and families\, from Palestine to Turtle Island. \n5:30pm: Doors open / Dinner / Resource Fair\n6pm: Program begins \n🪁RSVP / Accessibility Needs Form link HERE\n🎙️Live-stream link made available \n  \nOrganized by Healthcare Workers for Palestine – TC\, endorsed by FAMM

SUMMARY:Atomic Cover-Up Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, August 11\, 2025\, 7PM\, 4200 Cedar Ave S\, Minneapolis\, MN \nNext Month’s Movie… Atomic Coverup🎬 \n“In the weeks following the atomic attack on Japan in 1945\, which killed over 200\,00\, the vast majority civilians\, and then for decades afterward\, the United States engaged in airtight suppression of all film shot in Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the bombing… This included footage shot by an elite U.S. Army crew and Japanese newsreel teams. Meanwhile\, the American public only got to see the same black and white images: a mushroom cloud\, battered buildings\, a devastated landscape. The true human costs\, a full airing of the bomb’s effect on people were kept hidden.” \nGreg Mitchell- Director/Writer I U.S. I 2021 I 48 minutes \nOrganized by WAMM Movie Committee

DESCRIPTION:Join Us at The People’s Summit for Korea – Early Registration Now Open!\nDear Anti War Action Network\, \n  \nThe fight for Korea’s sovereignty is at a crossroads. Despite empty gestures toward diplomacy\, U.S. imperialism continues to escalate military aggression in Korea—deepening the Japan-South Korea-U.S. alliance\, expanding war exercises\, and pushing the peninsula to the brink of war. But our movements are fighting back. \nThis July\, join us at The People’s Summit for Korea! in New York City to unite across borders and build a collective strategy for liberation. Together\, we’ll: \n\n\nAnalyze the impact of U.S. imperialism on Korea and the world \n\n\nStrategize how to advance the fight for peace\, sovereignty\, and collective liberation \n\n\nCelebrate resistance through cultural performances and collective action \n\n\n  \nWhy attend? \nThe working people of the U.S. and Korea share the same enemy: a war machine that profits from division. This summit is a space to forge solidarity\, sharpen our political education\, and organize for a future where Korea—and all nations against imperialism—can determine their own destinies. \n📍 Location: New York City\, Riverside Church & Union Theological Seminary \n📅 Dates: July 25–27\, 2025 \n🎟️ Early registration is now open! Secure your spot today \n  \nCan’t attend? Forward this email and donate to help us raise money for the summit. \nQuestions? Check out our FAQs for details on travel\, accessibility\, and more. \n  \nConvened by: Nodutdol for Korean Community Development\, Koreans for Anti-Imperialism and Sovereignty (KAS)\, Korea Peace Now Grassroots Network (KPNGN)\, Korea Policy Institute (KPI)\, Koreans 4 Decolonization (K4D)\, The People’s Forum\, Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition\, Anti-War Action Network (AWAN)\, Dissenters\, and The United National AntiWar Coalition (UNAC). \n  \nIn solidarity\, \nThe People’s Summit for Korea \ninfo@peoplessummitforkorea.org
