SUMMARY:Gaza: Journalists Under Fire Screening
DESCRIPTION:JULY 14\, 2025\, 7PM\, 4200 CEDAR AVE MINNEAPOLIS 55407 \n“Gaza: Journalists under Fire” is a documentary produced by Brave New Films that aims to raise awareness and demand accountability for the high number of journalists killed in Gaza\, particularly since October 7\, 2023. It highlights the stories of three Palestinian journalists who lost their lives covering the genocide: Bilal Jadallah\, Heba Al-Abadlah\, and Ismail Al-Ghoul. The film underscores the alarming statistic that more journalists (at least 178) have been killed in Gaza since October 7\, 2023\, than in both world wars combined. \nDirector/Producer: Robert Greenwald I US I 2025 I 42 minutes \nSEE THE FILM THAT META IS CENSORING BY REFUSING TO RUN ADS ON FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM \nOrganized by WAMM \n

SUMMARY:St Paul: Show Up to the Board of Water Commissioners Meeting!
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, July 15\, 2025\, 5:00 PM\, 1900 Rice St\, St Paul\, MN \n  \n\n\n‼️ SHOW UP THIS TUESDAY TO DIVEST ST. PAUL FROM ISRAEL ‼️ \nWaterfall Security Solutions is an Israeli company that is in the business of cyber protection. On October 1\, 2024\, the Saint Paul Board of Water Commissioners entered into a contract with Waterfall to protect the computer network of Saint Paul Regional Water Services. The contract is in the amount $74\,000.00. It expires on October 1\, 2025.We are now lobbying Saint Paul elected officials. We simply ask that the contract be allowed to expire. We argue that a strategy of economic isolation was successful in dismantling apartheid in South Africa\, and is applicable to Israel today given its apartheid history and the determination by the International Court of Justice that Israel is plausibly committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.To date\, we have received no substantive response\, so we are intensifying our campaign to dump Waterfall. Come to 1900 Rice St in St. Paul at 5pm Tuesday to tell the Board of Water Commissioners to dump Waterfall! \n  \nOrganized and endorsed by WAMM\, Veterans for Peace Chapter 27 and MN Peace Action Coalition

SUMMARY:The People’s Summit for Korea
DESCRIPTION:Join Us at The People’s Summit for Korea – Early Registration Now Open!\nDear Anti War Action Network\, \n  \nThe fight for Korea’s sovereignty is at a crossroads. Despite empty gestures toward diplomacy\, U.S. imperialism continues to escalate military aggression in Korea—deepening the Japan-South Korea-U.S. alliance\, expanding war exercises\, and pushing the peninsula to the brink of war. But our movements are fighting back. \nThis July\, join us at The People’s Summit for Korea! in New York City to unite across borders and build a collective strategy for liberation. Together\, we’ll: \n\n\nAnalyze the impact of U.S. imperialism on Korea and the world \n\n\nStrategize how to advance the fight for peace\, sovereignty\, and collective liberation \n\n\nCelebrate resistance through cultural performances and collective action \n\n\n  \nWhy attend? \nThe working people of the U.S. and Korea share the same enemy: a war machine that profits from division. This summit is a space to forge solidarity\, sharpen our political education\, and organize for a future where Korea—and all nations against imperialism—can determine their own destinies. \n📍 Location: New York City\, Riverside Church & Union Theological Seminary \n📅 Dates: July 25–27\, 2025 \n🎟️ Early registration is now open! Secure your spot today \n  \nCan’t attend? Forward this email and donate to help us raise money for the summit. \nQuestions? Check out our FAQs for details on travel\, accessibility\, and more. \n  \nConvened by: Nodutdol for Korean Community Development\, Koreans for Anti-Imperialism and Sovereignty (KAS)\, Korea Peace Now Grassroots Network (KPNGN)\, Korea Policy Institute (KPI)\, Koreans 4 Decolonization (K4D)\, The People’s Forum\, Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition\, Anti-War Action Network (AWAN)\, Dissenters\, and The United National AntiWar Coalition (UNAC). \n  \nIn solidarity\, \nThe People’s Summit for Korea \ninfo@peoplessummitforkorea.org
