Smith has been polluting East Philips for decades. It’s blatant environmental racism: foundries would never be allowed in affluent white neighborhoods. Walz could put his weight behind shutting down Smith at any time through bills like HF 4231 + SF 4316 that would kill the grandfathered permits for polluters like Smith & St Paul Brass, but he believes avoiding controversy in an election year is more important than the health of our communities. Tell Walz that he and the MN Pollution Control Agency need to do their jobs and SHUT DOWN SMITH FOUNDRY
