Mayday Books invites you to join us at The New City Center in south Minneapolis, as we sit down for a conversation with the award winning author and co-founder of The Red Nation, @nickwestes .
We will discuss and celebrate the launch of the new edition of Estes’ book, “Our History is the Future,” which is now available in paperbook from @haymarketbooks .

First published in 2019, this new edition features a timely new afterword from Estes entitled, “Ancestors of the Future,” which reflects on the past 5 years since “Our History is the Future” was first released. Diving into topics such as the Al-Aqsa flood, the George Floyd uprising, the struggle for Indigenous rights and environmental justice in the south Minneapolis neighborhood of East Phillips, and more.
