Excel Energy has submitted its 16 year upper midwest energy plan to the  PUC (MN Public Utilities Commission). Join WAMM and Nukewatch at a PUC public meeting to OPPOSE EXCEL’s application for a 20 year license extension for the Monticello nuclear power plant.

Just recently it leaked 829,000 gallons of radioactive tritium-contaminated water entering the Mississippi River endangering the drinking water of Mpls, St Paul and surrounding suburbs. As the reactor ages, these leaks are sure to be more frequent.
