While the policy of airstrikes started after 9-11\, Trump led an unprecedented escalation of the US war in Somalia. US airstrikes and US supplied weapons have killed civilians and increased instability in the region.\n\nNearly a quarter of a million people are facing starvation in Somalia but instead the Biden administration is focused on escalating US warfare. They announced in May that 4-500 US troops will be going to Somalia and that the US plans to increase drone strikes.\n\nCome hear from Jaylani Hussein\, the executive director of CAIR MN\, who has recently visited Somalia about the role of US intervention in Somalia.\n\nOrganized by the Anti-War Committee.
