Both Democrats and Republicans alike have vilified the Bolivarian movement of Venezuela and its struggle for equality and liberation. Come hear from Dozthor Zurlent, Venezuelan activist and former Hugo Chavez advisor, who is touring the US about what the people of Venezuela are building and what the US is doing to undermine the Bolivarian process.
Information about our speaker: Dozthor Zurlent believes that solidarity among people and countries is a fundamental aspect of what makes us humans. As such, he has been working, since he was only a teenager, in solidarity committees and organizations to support the struggle of the people in Cuba, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Palestine, and other important struggles of the people of the world. But he also has participated in the liberation struggle of Venezuela, his birth country.
At the beginning of the century, he started working as a political adviser to former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, on topics related to Latin America, the United States and Europe. At the time, he was also in charge of organizing and coordinating Bolivarian Circles and Venezuelan Solidarity Committees in North America and Europe. Dozthor has written articles and essays for a variety of English online publications and for Spanish newspapers and news websites.
He is a frequent face in Telesur, ANTV and VTV. For almost 10 years, he produced and directed radio programs on Venezuelan National Radio and YVKE Mundial Los Andes Radio. He also often appears in “La Radio del Sur” Radio station.
