DESCRIPTION:Friday\, August 8\, 7 pm\, Global Harmony Labyrinth at Como Park\, St. Paul\n\n\n\nGreetings from the Mayors of Nagasaki and St. Paul\n“A Bowl Full of Peace” read by Caren Stelson\, assisted by children from Nagasaki\nMeditation led by Nancy Hyvarinen\nKeynote by St. John’s student just returned from Japan\nThe KIDS GUERNICA project\nPeace Ribbon\nWalking the Labyrinth\n\n*The KIDS GUERNICA project involves painting a mural about peace and peace-making by children and teens from Nagasaki and Minnesota. It is 10 by 17 feet\, the same size as Pablo Picasso’s famous anti-war painting “Guernica.”  The mural will also be displayed at the Obon Festival at Como Park on Sunday\, August 17\, and at the Minnesota History Center the weekend of August 22-24.  On Saturday\, August 23\, Mayor Shiro Suzuki of Nagasaki and junior high students from Japan will make a presentation “From Devastation to Friendship” at the History Center.
