Solidarity with Haiti!
Thursday, September 22nd 2022 from 6:30-8:00pm
3547 Cedar Avenue South, Minneapolis (Law Offices of De León, Nestor & Torres)
For over two hundred years, the Haitian people have struggled for liberation and independence from foreign rule.
Today, the former slave-holding powers of the United States and France continue to seek to control Haitian affairs, propping up the illegitimate government of Ariel Henry amid a wave of internal violence and warfare among gangs controlled by Haitian business and political elites.
Join us to demand United States Hands Off Haiti and to raise money to express our concrete solidarity with the struggle of the Haitian people.
It will be an evening of light refreshments, music and short speeches to raise money for the Haiti Emergency Relief Fund (HERF) to support a teaching hospital and medical worker training center on the grounds of the University of the Aristide Foundation in Port Au Prince. Checks payable to HERF may be mailed to: Haiti Justice Committee, 3547 Cedar Ave S, Mpls MN 55407 or online donations may be made here.
Sponsored by Haiti Justice Committee. Co-Sponsored by Anti-War Committee, Minnesota National Lawyers Guild, Women Against Military Madness and Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee.
