This year following our traditional Bell ringing event Veterans for Peace National is reclaiming Armistice Day as a day to strive to truly end war and address the climate crisis with bold direct action in at least a dozen cities across the US.

For VFP Chapter 27, we will gather in front of Amy Klobuchar’s office at 1:00 p.m. at 1200 Washington Ave So in Minneapolis and deliver a statement listing items we would like her to endorse related to Militarism and the Climate. We will hold banners and signs calling attention to the U.S. Military’s contribution to the Climate Crisis.

This bannering is part of a national effort by VFP’s “Stop the War, Save the Climate” and Climate Crisis and Militarism working groups.
