DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, June 30\, 2024\, 10:00 am\, Downtown Minneapolis (6th Street – between Hennepin & 1st Ave North) \nTAKING BACK PRIDE MARCH 2024 \nJoin us on Sunday\, June 30th at 10 am in downtown Minneapolis (6th Street – between Hennepin & 1st Ave North) for our annual Taking Back Pride March! No cops\, no capitalism\, no corporations at Pride! Black trans lives matter! Free Palestine! \nTaking Back Pride is an annual protest organized by a coalition of grassroots organizations across the Twin Cities to protest the continued presence of cops and corporations at Twin Cities Pride. It is explicitly anti-cop and anti-corporation\, and is Black-led\, trans-led\, and left-led. \nWHY WE MARCH:\nStonewall was an uprising against police brutality. Since the lynching and murder of George Floyd\, Minneapolis has become ground zero in the fight against police murder\, starting with an uprising that shook the country. Queer and trans community members continue to be targets of ongoing police violence\, so the fight against police terror is our fight.
