DESCRIPTION:What is going on in Peru (attempted coup)?\nTuesday\, Dec. 13\, 2022\, 7:00 pm Central\nOn-line Event\nJoin the meeting directly here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83006955401\n\nDuring our organizing meeting\, we will have a discussion about Peru.\n\nCome to hear what has been going on since Pedro Castillo was elected. There were high hopes for Castillo\, as an indigenous teacher and union leader\, when he was elected president this year. \n\nHowever\, immediately after the elections\, he was subjected to right wing and congressional pressure to impeach him.
