DESCRIPTION:Walk for Peace and Justice and Hands Across Mississippi for Clean Water\, Clean Air and Clean Land\,\, Saturday\, September 30\, 2023.  Schedule below.\n\nWe are calling on all Minnesotans to participate in these inspiring events!\n\nChallenged by our experiences of violence across the Twin Cities in recent years\, Friends for a NonViolent World (FNVW)\, in collaboration with Twin Cities Nonviolent (TCNV) and many other peace and justice groups\, are organizing a Walk for Peace and Justice on September 30\, 2023.\n\nThe walk takes place on Day 10 of Twin Cities Nonviolent annual 12 Days Free from Violence.  Brackett Park in Minneapolis is the kick-off location. We will walk to the Lake Street/Marshall Avenue Peace Bridge for a Hands Across Mississippi: Clean Water\, Clear Air and Clean Land ceremony sponsored by TC Nonviolent and Vote Climate.\n\n\nWAMM’s End Military Madness Against the Earth and Veterans for Peace Chapter 27 will be walking the 1/2 mile walk. PLEASE JOIN US We would like both WAMM and VFP members to JOIN US and ALL walkers for peace and justice ARE WELCOME. WAMM and VFP will take the 1/2 mile walk to the bridge for ceremonies. We will have signs available.\n\nAs you can see on the schedule\, the 1/2 mile walk starts about 11:15. You can come earlier and socialize. The festivities begin with coffee and meet and greet at Brackett Park beginning at 10:00 am.
