In 2025 he won the Artistic War Abolisher of 2025 Award from World Beyond War for his “incredibly powerful combination of songwriting\, singing\, speaking and performing against the horrors of war\,” in the words of David Swanson\, World Beyond War executive director. \nDirectors: Roger Waters\, Sean Evans / Distributed by Trafalgar\, Released 2025 / 2 h 24m \nThis is Not a Drill: Live From Prague is a 2023 concert film by Roger Waters\, featuring a live performance by Roger and the band. Roger is the cofounder of Pink Floyd. The film combines songs from his 60-year career with Pink Floyd and his solo work\, and is described as a stunning “cinematic extravaganza” with political commentary that includes elaborate staging and visual effects. \nThe show is an indictment of the militarism\, perpetual war\, imperialism\, settler colonialism\, and the “corporate dystopia” we all struggle to survive\, and a call to action to love\, protect\, and share our precious and precarious planet home. \nFilm cosponsors are Women Against Military Madness and Veterans For Peace Chapter 27\, with thanks to Holy Trinity Church for their support. \n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:St Paul: Show Up to the Board of Water Commissioners Meeting!
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, July 15\, 2025\, 5:00 PM\, 1900 Rice St\, St Paul\, MN \n  \n\n\n‼️ SHOW UP THIS TUESDAY TO DIVEST ST. PAUL FROM ISRAEL ‼️ \nWaterfall Security Solutions is an Israeli company that is in the business of cyber protection. On October 1\, 2024\, the Saint Paul Board of Water Commissioners entered into a contract with Waterfall to protect the computer network of Saint Paul Regional Water Services. The contract is in the amount $74\,000.00. It expires on October 1\, 2025.We are now lobbying Saint Paul elected officials. We simply ask that the contract be allowed to expire. We argue that a strategy of economic isolation was successful in dismantling apartheid in South Africa\, and is applicable to Israel today given its apartheid history and the determination by the International Court of Justice that Israel is plausibly committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.To date\, we have received no substantive response\, so we are intensifying our campaign to dump Waterfall. Come to 1900 Rice St in St. Paul at 5pm Tuesday to tell the Board of Water Commissioners to dump Waterfall! \n  \nOrganized and endorsed by WAMM\, Veterans for Peace Chapter 27 and MN Peace Action Coalition \n\n\n\n	Related

DESCRIPTION:Monday\, November 11\, 2024\, 10:45 AM\, Monument at 44th Ave N and Victory Memorial Drive—Minneapolis \n\n\n\nWalk from 33rd & Xerxes No. to Victory Memorial\n             9:30 AM. or meet us the Memorial for the program at 11 AM\n\n\n\nPlease join Veterans For Peace as we give pause on this day of remembering the 100th Anniversary of the signing of the Armistice of 1918\, ending World War 1\, the bloodiest and most destructive war in the history of humankind\, what we have become in this country. A country of unending war with a Pentagon that consumes over half of our tax dollars\, the world’s largest arms dealer and where politicians no longer even speak of Peace and Genocide is now ok and supported by our government. SUMMARY:Demonstration to Indict Blinken
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 17\, 2024\, 12:00 pm\, The Diana E. Murphy Federal Courthouse\, 300 South 4th Street\, Minneapolis MN\, 55415 \n  \nIndict Antony Blinken! \nOn May 24\, 2024\, Secretary of State Antony Blinken reported to Congress\, “We do not currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport of U.S. humanitarian assistance”. This\, in spite of the fact that both the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department Bureau for Population\, Refugees\, and Migration (PRM) had reached precisely the opposite conclusion in formal written reports. They concluded that Israel was systematically denying and blocking humanitarian food and medical assistance to Gaza in violation of U.S. foreign aid laws. Although both assessments had been submitted to Secretary Blinken in April of 2024\, neither was mentioned in Blinken’s May report to Congress. By concealing the USAID and PRM reports\, Secretary Blinken deceived Congress\, an apparent violation of the Material False Statement law which prohibits falsification or concealment of material facts orally or in writing to the U.S. Congress. \n Join Veterans For Peace to Demand the Indictment of Antony Blinken! \nWhere: The Diana E. Murphy Federal Courthouse\, 300 South 4th Street\, Minneapolis MN\, 55415. \nWhen: Thursday\, October 17\, 2024 at noon. \nHow: By demonstrating in front on the Federal Courthouse\, and hand delivering a formal letter to U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger whose office lies therein\, we will demand that the U.S. Department of Justice impanel a grand jury to investigate criminal violations of federal laws governing the provision of weapons and munitions to Israel as it commits genocide in Palestine. Stop the Deceit! Stop Providing Weapons to Israel! Stop the Genocide! Never Again Means Never Again for Anyone! \n  \nNot able to attend the demonstration? Please call U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger @ 612-664-5600 to demand an investigation into Antony Blinken for deceiving Congress in the furtherance of genocide. Initiated by Veterans For Peace Chapter 27. \n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Bosnia and “Humanitarian Intervention”: The First US/NATO War\, a talk by Michael Livingston
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 2\, 2023\, 3:00 pm\, May Day Books – 301 Cedar Ave South\, Minneapolis \nWhile the most recent US/NATO war is fought in Ukraine\, the brutal civil war that ripped apart Bosnia from 1992 to 1995\, ended in the first US/NATO war\, part of a larger dismemberment of Yugoslavia by the US and its key capitalist allies in Europe. NATO’s involvement was purportedly based on the need for humanitarian intervention. \nThis talk explores the background of the war in Bosnia\, and how the destruction of Yugoslavia was created by the Western powers\, the same Western powers who then justified intervention on humanitarian grounds: the need to stop the killing that they themselves had started and fueled. \nBased on the speaker’s research during a 2023 study inside Bosnia\, the talk focuses on current conditions in Bosnia\, the causes and development of the civil war\, and the destruction of the former Yugoslavia\, as well as the education system of Bosnia (the “two schools under one roof” system of segregated education)\, the language divorce (the efforts to create separate languages out of a single language)\, and the state of post-civil war society. \nSponsored by May Day Books. Endorsed by Vets for Peace Chapter 27 and Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) End War committee. \nAbout the Speaker: Michael Livingston has been active in the Peace and Antiwar Movement for over 40 years\, first becoming active in the Central American Movement of the 1980s. He is currently a professor of psychology and holds a Ph.D. in Child Psychology. FFI: email mlivingston@csbsju.edu or call 612.619.7817 \n\n\n	Related
