SUMMARY:St Paul: Show Up to the Board of Water Commissioners Meeting!
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, July 15\, 2025\, 5:00 PM\, 1900 Rice St\, St Paul\, MN \n  \n\n\n‼️ SHOW UP THIS TUESDAY TO DIVEST ST. PAUL FROM ISRAEL ‼️ \nWaterfall Security Solutions is an Israeli company that is in the business of cyber protection. On October 1\, 2024\, the Saint Paul Board of Water Commissioners entered into a contract with Waterfall to protect the computer network of Saint Paul Regional Water Services. The contract is in the amount $74\,000.00. It expires on October 1\, 2025.We are now lobbying Saint Paul elected officials. We simply ask that the contract be allowed to expire. We argue that a strategy of economic isolation was successful in dismantling apartheid in South Africa\, and is applicable to Israel today given its apartheid history and the determination by the International Court of Justice that Israel is plausibly committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.To date\, we have received no substantive response\, so we are intensifying our campaign to dump Waterfall. Come to 1900 Rice St in St. Paul at 5pm Tuesday to tell the Board of Water Commissioners to dump Waterfall! \n  \nOrganized and endorsed by WAMM\, Veterans for Peace Chapter 27 and MN Peace Action Coalition \n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Stop the Attacks on Queer and Trans Rights!
DESCRIPTION:Stop the Attacks on Queen and Trans Rights rally\nFriday\, July 14\, 2023\, The Commons\, 425 Portland Ave in downtown Minneapolis\n\nJoin Taking Back Pride Coalition to protest ongoing attacks made by SCOTUS on LGBTQ+\, Black and Brown\, and working class people on Friday\, July 14th at 4pm at The Commons park in downtown Minneapolis\n\nWe know that the recent ruling in favor or 303 Creative LLC to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people is just the beginning. Besides hurting Queer people\, it provides legal precedent for discrimination against Black and Brown people\, as well as many other groups. Now is not the time to be neutral! Roe was just the beginning of this courts attacks; cases like Obergefell and Loving\, that established legally recognized Gay and Interracial marriage respectively\, and Lawrence\, that recognized sodomy laws as unconstitutional\, will be on the chopping block. If we want to keep what few rights we have today\, we have to be willing to take to the streets! DESCRIPTION:Pipeline Blues Farewell to the Mansion Special Vigill\nMonday\, June 26\, 2022\, 4:00-5:00 pm\nMN Governor’s Mansion\, 1006 Summit Ave in St Paul \nThis is the last Monday of Gov. Vigil-Scouts will scope out the situation on Summit Ave. Meanwhile\, the focus of the vigil is broadening to embrace large issues of environmental destruction – especially by the U.S. military – in addition to the piping of tar-sands oil that we’ve always opposed. Spread the word about the expanded vigil and demo on Monday\, June 26\, 4:00-5:00pm. It will be lively and vibrant as vigilers and protesters stand in opposition to environmental ruin. Onward! \n\n\n	Related

In memorium. \nWalk Against War And The Weapons Of War \nWhat truly constitutes national security? Certainly not endless war or accelerating military buildup. The military budget was $223.43 billion in 1983\, $440.53 billion in 2003\, and is $858 billion in 2023. The U.S. has already spent $113 billion and has made a commitment to an additional $3.075 billion in “security” assistance to Ukraine. The world is suffering greatly\, both environmentally and economically\, from the continuation of the U.S./NATO war in Ukraine. Atmospheric levels of all three main greenhouse gases reached record highs in 2022. The war has disrupted energy markets\, driven a return to coal when use is at an all-time high\, prompted an increase in emissions-intensive arms production and use\, and become an excuse for governments to delay climate action. To protect people and ecosystems from further environmental damage\, we must stop military buildup that can only lead to environmental and human destruction. The legacy of escalating war is death\, havoc\, and environmental calamity. WAMM has repeatedly called for major cuts in the military budget and an end to endless war. However\, the budget continues to grow by leaps and bounds. This bloated budget is unconscionable given the serious problems facing our country and the world. Americans struggle to pay for food\, housing\, and health care. Climate disasters are affecting the entire globe. Let’s put a stop to this madness! \nFFI: 612-827-5364\ngeneral@wamm.me \n\n\n	Related
