DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 12\, 2024\, 5:00 pm\, 3000 Minnehaha Ave\, Mpls \n💚CPAC IS BACK!💚 \n⚠️Join us for a press conference for the relaunch of our NEW petition to get an all-elected Civilian Police Accountability Commission (CPAC)! \n🗓️ Thursday\, September 12th\n⏰ 5pm\n📍 3000 Minnehaha Ave (in front of the burnt down 3rd precinct) \n🗣️Oh you thought we were done!? We got news for you\, the fight for community control\, and REAL police accountability won’t stop! Not even after we win! We are in this for the long haul and are under no illusions\, this is a protracted struggle! \nFrom 2021-2024 our dedicated\, all-volunteer petitioners collected over 12k signatures so the people of Minneapolis could vote this November to establish CPAC. We turned in our petition twice\, and were rejected twice for numerous technicalities. \nSince then we have taken the time to regroup\, learn from our mistakes\, plan new strategies\, and strengthen the language of our amendment. 💯 \nWe have already hit the ground running to collect signatures for our new and improved CPAC petition!
