DESCRIPTION:Al Nakba March\nSaturday\, May 20\, 2023 at 2 pm\nBryant Square Park\, 3101 Bryant Ave S\, Minneapolis 55408 \nFor Palestinians\, May 15 marks Al-Nakba\, Arabic for ‘the catastrophe’. During the 1948 war\, at least 750\,000 Palestinians were ruthlessly attacked\, massacred\, and driven from their homes by Zionist terror groups\, and have never been allowed to return\, in violation of international law. 2023 marks 75 years of Israeli land theft\, occupation\, and apartheid.\n\nThe US has provided over $150 billion in aid to Israel since 1949. Our tax dollars are paying for the occupation of Palestine.\nWe are not talking about Al-Nakba as a historic event but one that is ongoing. DESCRIPTION:International Human Rights Day! \nSaturday\, December 10th 2022 at 1:00 PM \n3101 S Bryant Ave\, Minneapolis 55408 \n1pm: Meet at Bryant Square Park with Uptown march to follow. \nThe U.S. uses the language of human rights to justify U.S. intervention in Ukraine and to impose sanctions on Iran\, Venezuela\, and Cuba.\n\nMeanwhile\, the U.S. government continuously refuses to act in support of the basic human rights to education\, healthcare\, housing\, and a live-able planet for our children here at home.\n\nAfter the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade\, people in the U.S. are also fighting for women’s and reproductive rights.\n\nLastly\, people of color are targeted by police and killed at an outrageous rate in their own communities.\n\nThis comes on top of longstanding U.S. wars and interventions\, which NEVER bring human rights.
