Go to: womenagainstmilitarymadness.org/donate \n\n\nWomen Against Military Madness is now in its 43rd year and would love to have you join WAMM’s 18th annual Walk Against Weapons of War on Saturday\, June 7\, 2025. We will gather at Langford Park in St. Paul at 10:30 AM (near Como Ave and Energy Park Drive). We will walk about one mile to ForwardEdge ASIC (a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin) for a rally before returning to the park. \nIt is shocking and unconscionable: the billions of dollars that the United States is spending on war and weapons of war for death and destruction instead of people’s needs at home. The world’s largest weapons manufacturer\, Lockheed Martin\, supplies Israel with F-16 and F-35 fighter jets\, which Israel has been using extensively to bomb Gaza. Israel also uses the company’s C-130 Hercules transport planes to support the ground invasion of Gaza. \nJust for your information\, June 7th is also St. Anthony Park’s art festival along Como Avenue. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 1\, 2024\, 10:30 am\, Langford Park\, St Paul\, MN \nRain or shine! Walking for Peace and Justice! \nThis is the 17th year of the Walk Against Weapons of War. This walk was initially started in 2008 to protest weapons producer Alliant Techsystems\, Inc. (ATK). This year our walk takes us past another weapons maker\, ForwardEdge ASIC (application specific integrated circuits)\, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation. With record profits (net sales of $67.6 Billion in 2023)\, Lockheed Martin is a glowing example of the health of our nation’s war machine. Their F-35 fighter jets\, sent to Israel\, are being used to indiscriminately bomb Palestinian citizens\, killing tens of thousands and displacing 90% of the population of Gaza\, in violation of international law. Lockheed Martin’s nuclear weapons production and maintenance adds to the clear and present danger of nuclear holocaust. The world-wide use of all weapons increases greenhouse gasses\, distributes long-lasting toxins and destroys environmental ecosystems. \nWAMM has repeatedly called for the U.S. to STOP sending aid and weapons to Israel.
