DESCRIPTION:Solidarity with Haiti! \nThursday\, September 22nd 2022 from 6:30-8:00pm \n3547 Cedar Avenue South\, Minneapolis (Law Offices of De León\, Nestor & Torres) \nFor over two hundred years\, the Haitian people have struggled for liberation and independence from foreign rule. \nToday\, the former slave-holding powers of the United States and France continue to seek to control Haitian affairs\, propping up the illegitimate government of Ariel Henry amid a wave of internal violence and warfare among gangs controlled by Haitian business and political elites. \nJoin us to demand United States Hands Off Haiti and to raise money to express our concrete solidarity with the struggle of the Haitian people. \nIt will be an evening of light refreshments\, music and short speeches to raise money for the Haiti Emergency Relief Fund (HERF) to support a teaching hospital and medical worker training center on the grounds of the University of the Aristide Foundation in Port Au Prince.
