DESCRIPTION:Northside Juneteenth Community Celebration 2023!\nSaturday\, June 17\, 2023\, 11 am to 3 pm\nSanctuary Church Block\, 701 W Broadway Ave N\n \nWAMM will have a table at this fun community event.\n\nAs we celebrate our community\, our history\, our culture and our roots we will gather on Saturday\, June 17th to celebrate Juneteenth 2023.\n\nJuneteenth commemorates the date in 1865 when news of the emancipation of African American slaves reached Galveston\, Texas.\n\nThe official name of federal holiday is Juneteenth National Independence Day\, also called Emancipation Day\, Freedom Day\, Jubilee Day\, Black Independence Day\, and Juneteenth Independence Day.\n\nThis year is the FIRST YEAR that Juneteenth is a State Holiday in the State of Minnesota thanks to State Senator Bobby Joe Champion\, MN House of Representative’s Rep\, Representative Ruth Richardson.\n\nWe will have a host of activities including a Stage with a Live DJ and Live Entertainment\, Food Court\, Kid’s Zone\, Community Health Fair\, Black Business Marketplace Area\, Local Artists & Entertainment\, African Face and Body Painting\, Games\, Giveaway’s & More!\n\nThis event is FREE & open to ALL as we celebrate our freedom\, our community and our heritage.\n\nFFI: NorthsideJuneteenth@gmail.com.\nWe look forward to celebrating our community and culture with each of you!\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related
