Issam Morris

Issam Morris will describe his experiences as a refugee in Lebanon and his journey to America. Issam is a Palestinian American who currently lives and works in Colorado in the IT industry. He began his child life in a refugee camp outside the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon. At the age of eight, he moved with his family to Sabra, outside Beirut. He lived through the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 and witnessed first-hand the massacre of Sabra and Chatila. Issam left his family in Lebanon in 1983 at the age of thirteen and moved to Cyprus with the help of a British Doctor. In 1994 he graduated from London University in England with a degree in Chemical Engineering. For the last 30 years he has resided with his family in Colorado.
