Join SCOTA on the bridge during the WAMM vigil in support of the United Nations’ vote to End the U.S. Blockade on Cuba!
Cuba will bring a resolution to the United Nations to end the cruel (60-year+) U.S. blockade on their country during the United Nations annual vote.
SCOTA will be participating in a 24-hour global picket in support of the resolution.
Cuba’s resolution calls for: “Necessity of ending economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”
In 2022, this resolution was passed overwhelmingly by 185 countries for the 30th consecutive vote at the UN General Assembly, while the U.S. and one other country voted to continue the blockade, and a couple of countries abstained.
While the U.S. government continually votes “No” to ending the cruel blockade, the people of the United States enter the family of nations from around the world to demand “End the Blockade on Cuba” and “Let Cuba Live.”
The people of the U.S. shows their support by passing many resolutions (at least 102). These resolutions represent 55 million people.
