Come to hear what has been going on since Pedro Castillo was elected. There were high hopes for Castillo, as an indigenous teacher and union leader, when he was elected president this year.

However, immediately after the elections, he was subjected to right wing and congressional pressure to impeach him. Last week after he attempted to remove congressional powers, he was removed from office and jailed.

At the meeting, we will have a Peruvian who lives in Minnesota, he will lead us through Peru’s history and what got them to where they are today.
